Snapsketch is in pre-launch. This page covers what we do with the information you give us through this website, who's responsible for it, and how to ask us to remove it.
Who runs this
Snapsketch (snapsketch.uk) is run by Harry Winteringham, based in the UK. For UK GDPR purposes that makes me the data controller for anything you submit on this site. The fastest way to reach me is hello@snapsketch.uk.
Email signups
When you join the waitlist we store your email address so we can tell you when Snapsketch is ready. We don't share it with anyone else and we don't use it for anything other than launch updates. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw any time by emailing the address above.
Submissions are sent through Formspree (formspree.io), an email forwarding service hosted in the United States. Formspree is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which provides an approved basis for moving data outside the UK / EU. Formspree stores the submission until I export it; once Snapsketch launches we will move email addresses into our own list and delete them from Formspree. Either way, you can ask us to remove your address at any time.
Cookies and analytics
When you first arrive we ask whether you're happy for us to use cookies. Tap Accept and the things below switch on. Tap Reject and they stay off. You can change your mind any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer.
TikTok pixel (only if you accept).A small cookie from TikTok that lets us see which TikTok ads bring visitors here, so we can spend money on the ones that work and stop the ones that don't. It does the same job for us as it does for any other site running TikTok ads — no extra profile-building beyond what TikTok already does across the internet. TikTok's own privacy notice covers how they handle the data they receive.
Page analytics & replays (only if you accept). We use a tool called PostHog (hosted in the EU) to count page views, see which buttons get tapped, and watch playback of how visitors moved through the page so we can spot anything confusing or broken. Replays show clicks and scrolls only — no faces, no audio, and every text input on the page is masked at the pixel level so we never see what you type (especially your email). Sessions are anonymous; we can't tie them back to you personally. Legal basis: your consent.
Anonymous events (always on).Even if you reject the banner, we still count things like “page loaded” and “waitlist submitted” — but with no cookies, no replays, and no way to follow you from one visit to the next. Each visit is its own fresh anonymous identifier that disappears when you close the tab. Legal basis: legitimate interest (running and improving a website), minimal privacy impact because nothing persistent leaves your device.
The hosting provider (Render) may keep short server logs (IP address, user-agent) for security and rate-limiting; those are deleted on a rolling basis, typically within 30 days.
Your rights
UK GDPR gives you the right to ask for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected if it's wrong, or to have it deleted entirely. You can also withdraw consent at any time, and you have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you think we're handling things badly. Email hello@snapsketch.uk and we'll act on any request within a month.
Changes to this page
We may update this notice as Snapsketch develops — for example, when we move email addresses off Formspree, or when the app itself launches and starts handling more data. The “Last updated” line at the top will always reflect the latest version.
